College Writing/Organizational Skill Tutor - January 2016 to Present Tutor Coordinator and Adult Educator - September 2015 to Present As a paralegal for more than 25 years, and holding a Master's in Public Policy, my writing and organizational skills are well-honed. Having entered the adult education profession a year ago, I have completed significant training and research into learning styles and study skills. Tutoring students is my absolute passion, and I love discovering what makes each student tick and then tailoring a program of study around their specific needs and learning style. Having the background knowledge of actually using all three styles allows me to understand the struggles students face when trying to format papers. I have developed a well-thought out process for students that allows them to not only see the big picture with respect to paper writing, but also alleviates stress in the process. Having someone who has been in your shoes and can show you a streamlined approach to paper writing is invaluable. I hope to pass on my tips, tricks, and techniques (along with templates for each formatting style) that allows the student to engage more in the writing process itself, rather than getting stuck on formatting issues.
