I received my Bachelor's of Science In Microbiology and Spanish at The Ohio State University. I am currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
Experience
I have studied Spanish since I was in the 6th grade and have developed a passion for the language. I minored in Spanish in college and spent 3 months living in Toledo, Spain while studying abroad and taking college level courses in Spanish. I have a native proficiency in Spanish. I have mentored and worked with middle school aged kids and helped classmates with their Spanish. I am very passionate about language education and am extremely friendly, approachable, and hard working. As a non-native speaker I have worked hard to develop strategies for fellow non-native speakers to gain familiarity and proficiency in Spanish and I am happy to pass this along to my students. In addition, medical school has allowed me to develop increased proficiency in medical Spanish and conversing with Spanish speakers in the medical setting. My hours and rate are flexible, and I will gladly meet all students at their individual level and work with them to achieve their goals.
