I'm a tutor who is currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I enjoy doing yoga, volunteering, and learning about animals when I'm not working with students. I'm deeply passionate about the French and Spanish languages, and also enjoy reading French and Spanish literature in my spare time. I can help students who wish to improve their French or Spanish language skills, and can also help students prepare for standardized tests like the GRE or SAT. I'm a non-native speaker of the two languages I teach, so I know firsthand the struggles that can arise on the road to language fluency. Learning a foreign language is a truly challenging, long-term process that requires a great deal of sustained dedication. Working with a tutor is a great way to develop the dedication required to really get the most out of your foreign language lessons. I believe that fun is a critical component to staying engaged with a language, and so I try to instill each of my tutoring sessions with relevant materials that help keep students excited about coming to our meetings.
