Experience
I have taught a number of Philosophy classes in the Pittsburgh area, and have tutored students extensively for classes I have taught and courses I assisted. Sometimes students find Philosophy classes to be particularly challenging. Having worked with many, many Philosophy students, I understand this. I enjoy breaking material down into manageable steps so that students are able to "get their minds around" the subject matter without feeling overwhelmed. Course I have taught include: Intro to Philosophy Logic Ethics Philosophy and Women's Issues World Religions I love teaching and working one on one with students. I'm definitely a "people person!" When a student grows and develops skills that I have imparted, I feel happy that I have given someone tools that they can take and use for their future academic success.

Hobbies
As a teacher and writer, I enjoy helping students improve their paper writing abilities. I believe that no matter how a student views the activity of writing, any student can learn the skills necessary to write excellent papers with ease. It is a skill that can be taught and mastered! My hobbies include: writing, reading, cooking, exercising, volunteering, and playing with my amazing dog. :)
