Experience
I am a 29-year old native of Peru. I am multilingual in Spanish, Russian and English. I offer personalized Spanish classes to adults of all ability levels. I provide intensive cultural training focus on the language and region. I develop tailored curriculum to meet individual students' needs and goals. I use total immersion techniques to improve students' functional conversation skills. A bit about me: I was originally trained in language education in Peru and, later, in the Russian Federation where I was employed as a full-time Spanish teacher at a top-rated Linguistic school. Some of my former students are now living,working and studying in Spanish Speaking countries. Over the past few years, I have gained extensive experience working at the Foreign Service Institute (the U.S. State Department's language university for the diplomatic corps) and as a private Spanish tutor here in Washington. My students are employees in both the public and private sectors, and/or graduate level university students. My teaching philosophy: All my classes are prepared on an individual basis according to the specific needs of each student. I am flexible on my schedule to meet your needs.

My passions are teaching,traveling and photography. I also enjoy yoga,cooking,painting,wine,reading,spending quality time with family and friends I am eager to share my knowledge and expertise with students, based on certain life experiences i have become more culturally aware and appreciative of the diversity of the Spanish speaking countries, on a global scale. One of the ways in which i find my experience to be unique is that i have been living and visiting different Spanish speaking countries and have been interacting with different cultures and be aware of the different accents,traditions and idioms. I was born into a mixed cultured family, my grandparents being native spaniards, my father Peruvian and my mother Uruguayan, all those facts have contributed to my better understanding and aprreciation of the Spanish Language as a unifying fact in my region. I also have lived and worked as a Spanish Instructor/Interpreter in The Russian Federation, for nearly 7 years. I taught at several Universities,High Schools,Institutes and Companies. All these life experiences have allowed for personal and professional growth. I am anxious to take my experiences learned in different countries and demonstrate how language can integrate the world even more , i am here to help students understand the important roles that they can play in this global environment.
