Experience
Over the course of my career I've worked on software in accounting, telecommunications, distributed computing, and electrical manufacturing. But who cares? The question really is, can I teach you so that you can truly understand the concepts behind your assignments, and end up working effectively on your own. I have taught others programming at all levels, and I'd say I'm pretty good at it. I can make those abstract ideas and multitude of little things you're "just supposed to know" come together so they all make sense and you can in time learn effectively on your own.
