Hobbies

I love traveling and learning languages. The first time I traveled by myself was when I went to the south of France to stay with a host family at age 17. Since that incredible, immersive experience, I've been saving up to travel as much as possible. I love the way that both staying in different countries and speaking a different language offer new perspectives on living. The challenges of both of these endeavors have forced me to be more open, to look at problems in a new light, and to find joy in the nuances of different cultures. My favorite part of teaching French is sharing this beautiful language and interesting culture with students, and considering the questions they have. I've learned so much from my students, and hope to continue to improve my teaching abilities, as well as my student's proficiency in and love for the language.
