I graduated from California State University of San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science. My California teaching credential is from Chapman University.
Experience
I spent ten years teaching English in California public schools. Six of those years were as a middle school English teacher while the remaining four were as a high school English teacher. In addition to English, I taught a class called AVID. AVID is a program designed to help students, who may not be seen as college material, be successful in school and to get into college.

Music is essential in life. I enjoy almost any kind of music as each genre appeals to a piece of who we are. I love reading. I especially love non-fiction and historical books as they allow us to see things connected to our past from various view points. These are also the reasons why I adore art and theater. It is the understanding and empathy that is experienced through these things that makes them so wonderful.
