Education
I received a BA in English Education 5-12 from Niagara University with an overall GPA of 3.8. Degree and teacher certification received in May 2011. I earned a MA in English from Buffalo State College with an overall GPA of 3.9. Degree received in May 2015. I am certified to teach in both New York and Pennsylvania.
Experience
I tutored at the Writing Center at Niagara University for two years, working with all college levels including graduate students and ESL/ELL students. I received a 1620 on my SATs (back in 2006!). I received a 195/200 on my English Language Arts PRAXIS test in PA. I want to be a tutor because I know my content well and I enjoy discussing it with individuals and helping them understand the content. I strongly believe that the content that I teach is valuable in being successful in life and can apply to many different areas of life. This is my fifth school year teaching. I taught in a charter school in New York for 4 years, and then came to Pittsburgh where I now substitute teach.
