I will be graduating in December 2015 with a bachelor's in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. My in-major GPA is a 3.86. I also have 180 hours of TEFL certification in order to teach ESL, with 30 of those hours concentrating on teaching young learners.
Experience
I currently tutor students in ESL at the English Language Institute. I tutor in both a small group and a one-on-one setting. I also volunteer in an after-school program aimed at helping children of immigrants (aged 5-7) improve their English skills. I scored an 800 on the SAT writing section and a 760 on the critical reading. I also scored an 800 on the SAT subject test in literature. I scored 5 on both my AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition. I have a lot of experience and interest in working with people of other cultures, or anyone who's interested in improving their English skills!
