For a public school teacher with five years experience, it's a short jump into tutoring. I already know that I love teaching and I have frequent contact with students. I am constantly working with students, both in the classroom and in my role as a coach. At present, I coach soccer, basketball, and cross country.Academically, I hold a bachelor's degree Kinesiology from Penn State University and have just recently completed a degree in Reading at Edinboro University. I can tutor Anatomy, Physiology, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Grammar, English, Social Sciences, and preparation for the PSAT and the SAT. I love working with students on these topics and I am frequently reminded of my position as a coach when doing so. Much like a coach, a teacher has to keep the big picture in mind and know the strengths and weaknesses of each 'player'. A good teacher also needs to plan the right practice opportunities so that strengths are strengthened and weaknesses are eliminated.I teach, I coach, and now I tutor. I love what I do and I'm definitely looking forward to doing more of it. When I'm not helping students and athletes achieve their goals, you can find me doing yoga, enjoying sports, or playing with my dog.
