I have been passionate about building relationships, learning, and teaching my whole life. I earned a 4.0+ grade point average in high school and graduated from college with honors. I taught English in high school for a couple of years. Through this experience, I gained valuable knowledge in all styles of learning, and I found most individuals learn the best in one-on-one situations. From the one-on-one settings, I came to the realization that I really enjoy tutoring! I am a teacher certified in 7th-12th grade English. My specialty in tutoring is with English skills (writing and reading) for high school and middle school students. I also tutor the English, reading, and writing sections of the ACT and SAT. I am also able to help students with the English preparation for the GED and college level English classes. The students have the option, if they want it, for me to give them homework for the subject matter they need help in. I encourage feedback from each tutoring session, as this strengthens my skills and helps me to meet students' needs by changing the strategies if necessary. I believe in being flexible. I am able to come to you for tutoring sessions. I look forward to helping you achieve success in your studies!
