Graduate of the University of Evansville - BFA, Creative Writing/Literature (2014) GPA: 3.86 Graduate of Ross High School (Valedictorian, 2010). Have taken AP Calculus, AP English, AP US History, and AP Biology, as well as the ACT, SAT, and GRE. Extensively re-taught myself algebra in order to serve as a more effective tutor at my day job.
Experience
I have 3 years experience in tutoring writing at the college level, including working in the student writing center and serving as a teaching assistant for English Composition courses. Before (and during) that, I was a diligent straight A student with a 4.0 GPA in high school and a 3.86 GPA in college. For two years, I served as a college prep counselor, tutor, and mentor in AmeriCorps, where I tutored COMPASS writing, reading, and math. I also tutored college-level writing, reading, and math with currently enrolled college students. Presently I'm finishing up my Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and working as a Teaching Assistant. I love sitting down and explaining things different ways until we get that lightbulb moment!
