Education
I graduated magna cum laude from a liberal arts college with a dual bachelor's degree in philosophy and psychology. With this education, I feel qualified to teach a variety of subjects, particularly those concerning English, writing, philosophy, and psychology. Afterwards, I went on to graduate school, where I obtained my master's degree in clinical psychology. I am currently in my third year of a clinical psychology Ph.D. program.
Experience
I have volunteered for various teaching positions since high school, but it was really after college that I truly became passionate about teaching. Between undergraduate and graduate programs, I took a year off and spent time as a caretaker at an orphanage in Ghana. One of the primary tasks was tutoring the children after school, and this meaningful interactions sparked my interest in this field. I have been fortunate enough to advance my teaching skills by training for and teaching college-level courses each semester at my university. I'm happy to tutor any age student at any level; I've taught students as young as 7 and as mature as 45 (elementary school level to college level).
