There are few things I get more excited about than the Spanish language! Vibrant and musical, it simply begs to be explored. I traveled all over Spain exploring both official Spanish and a variety of local dialects. For someone like myself, who has been studying the language since grade school, it was a dream come true. Now that I have completed a minor in Spanish Language and Literature at Fordham University, I am ready to bring my love of the Spanish language to my students. In order to make sure I am giving them the best instruction possible, I am also going to be taking the certification exam for Spanish proficiency. For those students whose only experience of Spanish has been the inside of a public school classroom, I want to bring the language to life. I want them to experience the culture that gave rise to the words, so that they can better appreciate the language. To do this, I will share my passion, energy, joy, and any other resources I can use to bring the Spanish language into full color for my students!
