Experience
I graduated with a Masters in Sociology from Columbia University in 2014. I also have a Bachelors from the University of Pittsburgh in Sociology and HPS (History and Philosophy of Science). I enjoy teaching very much and am passionate about good research and writing. At Columbia, I was as a Teaching assistant for two undergraduate sociology courses: The Social World and The Changing American Family. My expertise lies in immigration and ethnic identity and I am very interested in issues regarding immigrants such as assimilation, adaptation, policies, etc. As a Masters student I wrote a masters thesis which required intensive research, writing and editing. I attended pro-seminars with various sociologists and professors and also received a tremendous amount of help from those professionals. I believe my experience as a sociologist and as a writer in the field prepped me to be a private writing tutor. I am passionate about good writing and I believe that with the right training and help, anyone can write an A+ paper.
