I'd like to tutor so that I can help people achieve the best they can now and use that as a stepping stone from which to do even better. I've unofficially tutored international students through the international friendship program at IUP by looking over their papers and helping them practice perfecting their English. I studied abroad in England, participated in a service-learning trip to the Navajo Nation, taken myriad history, government, sociology, and geography classes, and taught middle and high school students through Social Studies education classes before I changed my major to history.

Hobbies
My main hobby is reading and building my personal library. Twentieth Century history books and modern fiction are my favorite to read, but anything that keeps me turning pages is welcome. I also love backpacking, traveling, and kayaking. I've been to six countries, as well as the Navajo Nation, and at least twice each summer, I paddle a 20 mile section of the Kiskiminetas River.
