I am a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and have acquired a Politics and Philosophy degree. I relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, to tackle new challenges in teaching. Over the past three years, I have taught classrooms across numerous grade levels, mainly in reading and writing, and have been successful at improving test scores and self-confidence. This past year I have been a substitute teacher and have helped an array of students in various subjects. I have specifically tutored Non-English speaking children in an effort to maximize their oral and written aptitude. I have tutoring experience in Math, ranging to Algebra II, and Social Sciences, specifically Advanced Placement U.S. History and Government, which were actual majors of mine in college. I am a strong believer in goal orientation, focusing on the tasks at hand and the end results. I especially love teaching exam preparation subjects, as the students typically have career plans with realistic educational expectations. As a tutor, I have a hands-on approach while implementing verbal, visual, and physical learning to ensure that it meets my client's personal comprehension level. In my spare time, I enjoy cultural cooking, listening to a wide range of music, playing the guitar and drums, and traveling the world.
