I completed a writing tutoring course during my fall semester of junior year and an internship with the University of Pittsburgh's Writing Center the following spring. My internship involved working individually with students and completing a research project on the benefits of Skype in an academic setting. During my senior year, I worked as a writing tutor after completing that year of training. I'm experienced in one-on-one sessions with a variety of students and have worked with several pieces and styles of writing. I majored in English Writing at the University of Pittsburgh with a fiction concentration. Along with my previous job at the writing center, the classes within this major focused on helping our peers in group workshops, where we worked together to revise a piece of creative writing. These classes and my job as a tutor not only taught me how to help my peers, but also that I love helping students succeed with their writing.
