I graduated from both Duke and Duquesne Universities; I earned my bachelor's degree in political science and German, focused on international relations and twentieth century totalitarian regimes. My master's degree is in Public Policy Management, focusing on energy policies that involve unconventional hydrocarbons such as shale gas. Six months of my undergraduate studies were spent residing in Berlin, Germany engaged in a full immersion language acquisition program. Ten years of my professional career was spent as the Owner/Operator of a financial planning firm. I have recently shifted my tutoring focus to tertiary education due to a great love and commitment to education. These are subjects where my tutoring skills are the strongest (though I have also tutored in other subjects): English, writing, and public speaking. I have also had great success in assisting struggling students to understand the logic of the GRE exams. I reside in the Pittsburgh, PA, area and my first love in life is engaging in family time as much as I possibly can. I am also a music lover; I listen to many different genres. I also play a couple of instruments, and I enjoy black-smith and knife-making as hobbies.
