Hi. I am a tutor living in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The subjects that I can tutor include elementary and middle school math, algebra 1-4, calculus 1, AP physics 1 and 2, geometry, SAT math, test prep, and Newtonian mechanics. I gained my teaching and tutoring experience as a student when my classmates and I got together to do homework or have cram sessions for intensive final exams. These exams could entail studying 16 chapters for a given subject. It was during these times that I soon realized the importance of having another person around who could help answer difficult questions about a topic. Two or three people working together to solve problems was truly useful for understanding many difficult concepts, especially in physics. For this reason, I know how tutoring can be an effective way for students to learn and comprehend difficult material or subjects. As a tutor, I hope to utilize this experience to help my new students. I look forward to meeting them and helping them succeed in their school work. I am presently attending the University of Pittsburgh-University Honors College, and I expect to graduate in April of next year with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. In my spare time, I like to write and play music.
