I am thrilled to get the opportunity to help eager students with their grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and understanding of literature. For the past 12 years, I've worked as an English and language arts teacher for middle and high school students. Along with a bachelor's degree in English, I also received a master's degree in English secondary education from Boston University. Ever since then, I've been actively working in the classroom to teach students and inspire them to succeed in all walks of life. The thing that I love about tutoring is being able to work with students individually. I believe that one-on-one sessions are a great way to truly get to know a student and learn more about their strengths, weaknesses, and specific needs. I also believe that there's no such thing as a correct way to teach. Every student learns differently, and before you can help students succeed, you first need to learn what learning style works best for them. As a teacher and a parent, I have been able to see firsthand how important it is to have someone in your life that can assist you with all of the challenges you face along the way. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and running.
