Experience
I have experience tutoring English to adults of all ages while I lived in Tokyo, Japan from 2013-2014. I currently teach ESL online to Chinese children and this Spring I tutored Japanese to 7th and 8th graders at the Barack Obama Middle school. I've been accepted into the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program and will move back to Tokyo to teach English under the Tokyo Board of Education at public high schools by this Fall. I love teaching language and sharing culture. I enjoy teaching both children and adults, Japanese and English. I love sharing stories about my experiences abroad and my knowledge attained through serious study and hard work. Even more than language learning and sharing, I love cultural exchange. Nothing will help you learn a language faster or understand it more deeply than learning about the culture of that language and it's history. Through both my studies and my travels, I have gained the experience and knowledge of the most seasoned teachers in my field and I look forward to sharing with students.

Hobbies
I love studying Japanese, having language and cultural exchanges, exploring new restaurants with friends, playing with animals, visiting museums and art spaces, traveling, taking pictures and doing yoga. I think tutoring is a great way to not only share what you know academically, but to also share your interests through your experiences and tie those into your studies.
