I majored in Creative Writing at the University of Pittsburgh and continue my education by attending workshops and classes at writers' conferences throughout the year.
Experience
I am on the faculty at various writers' conferences and teach writing courses at the conferences and through the Osher program at Carnegie Mellon University. I also lead a monthly writing workshop at Northland Public Library in Pittsburgh, PA. I have won awards for my poetry, short stories, and blog. Multi-published in the CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL anthologies, I also served as a freelance editor for one of their books in 2007. I teach others the formula that increases their chances of being published in CSS and have been happy to see many experiencing publishing success. I have over 60 children's books published through Marvel's iStorybooks line and have narrated over 150 children's audio books.
