I graduated from Oberlin College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Hispanic Studies, and Creative Writing. I truly believe every individual should receive the best education possible. This desire to help others is a main reason I wanted to teach school. My greatest desire is for others to succeed beyond their wildest dreams. For a number of years, I taught grade school Spanish. I also tutored for SAT preparation in the Bay Area. I received my Master of Arts in Reading Instruction at Loyola Marymount University.I can teach numerous courses in a wide range of subjects. My favorite tutoring subjects include Algebra, and Writing. Math and Writing are critically important and touch people's lives in every way imaginable. I like to tutor to a student's comfort zone. Everyone learns differently. I also discovered that people learn best when they understand how the material relates to other important things. Learning then becomes something more than just memorizing. When not spending time tutoring, I love to read, hike, and run with my dog. I have the experience and patience to help you score better in Math and Writing. What you learn can benefit you and last for a lifetime.
