I am a professional science tutor who has more than 7 years of experience in teaching and private tutoring. I graduated with a B.A. degree in Biochemistry and earned my PhD degree in Chemistry from CMU.
Experience
During my undergraduate study, I worked as a teaching assistant for Calculus I & II, various chemistry lab and lectures including General Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry I & II. At CMU, I was a recitation teaching assistant for Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I & II, which provided me intimate understanding of the struggles college students encounter with these courses. In recognition for excellence in teaching, I was awarded with a Graduate Teaching Award. Aside from lecturing, I also provide private tutoring for various undergrad and grad-level chemistry courses including General, Organic and Environmental Health Chemistry. My teaching philosophy is to build the students' foundation by helping them understand basic chemistry theory before applying these principles to solve specific problems. I also help student overlook their lab and homework assignments before they submit for grading. I truly believe that my intimate knowledge of the subjects and the accumulative teaching, mentoring experience will provide the best educational support you need to achieve your academic goals.
