Experience

I have over 10 years of tutoring experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses. At my alma mater I worked as the head engineering tutor for several years. During this time I became accustomed to explaining high level concepts in a variety of ways. I love being able to explain ideas in a way that allows students to really understand what is going on. Usually, I meet with students on campus, but I have also done many tutoring sessions online. Using google docs and by being on the phone with me you can hear my explanations and see what I write. Additionally, I can see what you write so I am able to understand how you approach the problem. This is superior to other electronic forms of tutoring that are merely one way. Also, this avoids the lag often associated with video conferencing. I continue to explore science as a postdoctoral researcher for the University of Pittsburgh. I tutor because I love sharing my knowledge, enthusiasm, and excitement for math and science!
