BA Public Communication at American University (3.97 GPA), MA Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Hamline University (4.00 GPA), Minors in Italian, Literature, and Cinema. I have presented educational research at numerous national conferences (Schools That Can, National Summer Learning Association, etc.). I won the Excellence in Summer Learning Award for best summer learning program as Executive Director of Summerbridge Pittsburgh in 2007. I have also won national Point of Light Foundation award as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates African American Heritage and Community Champion awards.
Experience
I have more than 10 years of classroom teaching and individual tutoring. I have taught Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and university students (BA, MA, and Ph.D) both in the USA and abroad. I have extensive experience working with children and university students. I have served as an editor of multiple dissertations and assisted many students in high school/university paper writing and editing. I enjoy teaching and empowering students to reach their potential. I also specialize in teaching conversational English and working with international students. I also lived in Italy for four years and am happy to teach/engage in Italian conversation.
