Hi, my name is Allie and I have tutored a diverse group of students in critical reading, piano, and writing. I have helped students from second grade through professors. I am a PH.D. student myself and I am always thinking about and writing about music in literature. I am also very familiar with how important it is to listen. Specifically, the need to listen to what my pupils are saying and not saying in order to help them develop and reach their academic goals. As far as my background, I have plenty of other experience that contributes to me being an effective tutor. I have edited over one-thousand pages of student writing per semester, as well as been a Writing Center Consultant. In the center, I had the chance to work with graduate and undergraduate pupils in every step of the writing process. I have also worked in multiple positions as a copy editor with students and professors on personal statements, articles, books, bibliographies, and much more. Currently, I am working as an online Nursing Writing Modules Coordinator. I create modules related to writing, science, and instructional videos. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, and cooking.
