I lived and worked in Oaxaca, Mexico for 5 weeks studying woodcarving with master artisans. I tutored Spanish to high school students at Allderdice High School as a Teaching Assistant. I've worked with native Spanish-speaking children on maintaining proficiency in the language. I studied Spanish language and literature at the Universitat de Valencia in Valencia, Spain for 5 months. In September 2010, I published a graphic novel in Spanish about my experiences abroad. AP Spanish score: 5/5. SAT II Spanish score: 690. I am a member of Phi Sigma Iota Honors Society for Modern Languages and took several advanced-level language and literature courses in Spanish at the university level. I am fluent in Spanish, and enjoy working with students at all levels and sharing my passion for the Spanish language and its culture.
