Education

I attended Slippery Rock University from 2003-2007 where I completed a Bachelor's of Science in Education with a focus on Social Studies, and a minor in Political Science. I have since returned to Slippery Rock to complete a Master's of Art in History, with an expected completion of Spring of 2016.

Experience

I worked as a peer tutor, and have extensive practice in both one-on-one and large group tutoring. I am also currently employed as a High School social studies teacher. I scored a 4 on the US AP Exam, a 193/200 on the PRAXIS-II content area, and have individually tutored students in virtually every subject in the realm of social studies, including psychology, sociology, and economics. I have always enjoyed working with students to help them understand and appreciate history to the fullest, and I love working individually with students.

Hobbies

I have played rugby since the age of 18 both in college and on club teams where I served as the captain for a number of years, and I am currently an assistant coach for a local high school team. I have played the drums since I was 8, and music is a second passion of mine. I have also started to make a small web-series for my students, and I maintain a blog to aid with their day-to-day questions. Beyond that, I enjoy reading, sports, cooking, and spending time at home with my wife.
