I have 2 years experience teaching and tutoring for a major test preparation company. This included courses in SAT, ACT, SAT II math, and AP Calculus. I have had strong interest in private tutoring since working a Teaching Assistant for 4 different chemical engineering courses at Northwestern. Helping students understand a difficult subject was one of the most rewarding parts of grad school for me. My graduate school research was in the area of nonlinear dynamics and chaos in systems of granular materials. This work relied heavily upon applied mathematics and physics in addition to more traditional engineering approaches. I have 5+ years of professional experience in mathematical modeling in the areas of economics, finance, and engineering. I'm happy to meet you at a local library, coffee shop, or similar location. I'm located in Squirrel Hill and can travel to the surrounding neighborhoods.
